How to Connect Your AirPods to an iPhone?
AirPods are one of the most beloved accessories available for iPhones, and come packed in an adorable travel case that charges them and keeps them safe. When connecting for the first time, open and hold the case next to your iPhone; press and hold setup button on back until a flashing white light appears – this launches pairing mode!
Once the AirPods are connected to one device via your iCloud account, they’ll connect automatically with any other Apple device signed in with that account. If you’re connecting them to an iPhone, ensure it runs iOS 15.1, iPadOS 10.1, watchOS 5.1, tvOS 13.0 or macOS Monterey and has received its latest software update.
AirPods case will open, and a pairing animation will appear on your iPhone’s screen. You may also receive some pop-ups discussing features (e.g. using Hey Siri). These pop-ups may or may not appear depending on which phone model is connected; feel free to ignore or skip these as necessary.
As soon as your AirPods are connected to your iPhone, they should appear with a blue checkmark in Bluetooth settings menu on your iPhone. Once connected, they can be used for playing music, taking calls or controlling other apps on your iPhone. If you’re having difficulties connecting, try restarting or moving around as this could help improve connectivity.
How to Disconnect Your AirPods from an iPhone?
AirPods are one of Apple’s best-selling products, and can connect to nearly any Bluetooth-enabled device. Before initiating pairing process, however, several steps need to be completed first: first ensure both charging case and AirPods are fully charged; otherwise they could disconnect during pairing process and can no longer pair with iPhones.
Before connecting your AirPods to any device, it is recommended to power off and disconnect it from any other Bluetooth devices in order to prevent competing Bluetooth connections from competing for equal attention and any possible connection issues that might occur during pairing. This can help resolve any Bluetooth connection issues during pairing process.
While setting up AirPods, it’s also important to closely follow any pop-up messages on your screen. These could include instructions for setting up “Hey Siri” voice commands or other features like whether or not your voice should read out text notifications.
Once setup is complete, press and hold the setup button on the back of your charging case until a white light flashes to indicate that your AirPods are ready for pairing with other devices.
If the AirPods have already been paired to other devices, you can disconnect them by opening your Settings app and tapping the i icon next to your AirPod. From here you can choose to Connect or Forget this Device.
How to Reconnect Your AirPods to an iPhone?
Unlike their first-generation counterparts, second-generation AirPods can automatically connect to other Apple devices–including iPhones and iPads–if within range and Bluetooth is turned on. Although the process for connecting them to such other devices differs somewhat from connecting them directly to an iPhone, connecting with such other devices remains straightforward.
First, ensure both your iPhone and AirPods are charged, running the latest version of iOS, and connected. Next, access Control Center by either swiping down from either edge of your screen (depending on device model), selecting group in upper-right or upper-left corner, touching and holding until prompted to connect AirPods appears.
Once prompted, simply connect your AirPods by following any on-screen instructions and any pop-ups offering tips for using them and notifying you that they have now paired with your iPhone. With third-generation or Pro AirPods you may also be given the option of activating “Hey Siri”, an optional but recommended feature.
If your AirPods don’t connect automatically, try closing and waiting 15 seconds before opening again and trying again. Alternatively, reset them by tapping the setup button for 10 seconds until its status light flashes white; otherwise manually connect by opening their case and finding them on your iPhone’s list of available Bluetooth devices.
